as you bring your week to a close, ask yourself the following: 

1. did i set my team up to succeed?
2. did i lead with character?
3. did i act to correct problems that surfaced? 

if your answer to #3 is “no” - make that your primary action item today. if the answer is the same for the others, determine what action(s) you need to take to answer differently next week, then execute.

As many of you know, Brother Johnson (Morant Bay, Jamaica) passed away Friday afternoon after a battle with stomach cancer. I’ve had a number of people ask how they can help Sister J. i realized last week that i haven’t logged into my myspace account in as long as i can recall. if it wasn’t for ping.fm, my account would have remained un-updated - as it had been for almost two years. 

given that online marketing is a sizable hat that i wear often, i’ve rationalized keeping my myspace account open “just in case” i need it [for research, incase they turned things around, etc.]. 

so, i logged in. 

immediately after doing so i asked myself “why?”.  myspace led the way in many aspects early on - you’ve got to tip your hat to them. but, with all the other social avenues out there, i cannot find a useful purpose for myspace in today’s social environment. it’s not even worth letting Ping update my status for me. 

unless someone out there in the web world pushes back and gives me a good reason to keep it, the end is near for my life on myspace.
